I've been coaching and training CrossFit since 2011. I have competed in a number of CrossFit and CrossFit Masters competitions, with numerous podium finishes and have enjoyed assisting many others in their own competitive journey.

At the same time, I'm passionate about sport, kids sport in particular. I enjoy coaching junior rugby league and believe that CrossFit training is an awesome foundation for kids to get fit, stay fit and healthy and help them to develop self confidence in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.

My primary focus as a trainer has been learning and implementing the ethos of training “different ways for different goals” having  had to do so with my own training and nutrition, due to previous back injuries and a spinal fusion.

I love to train, I love to succeed, and sometimes having someone in your corner to help you find a way to do this despite adversity, is what makes all the difference.

As a husband and father of three active kids, I know the difficulties and limitations that can sometimes come with a busy life. Spending 14 years in the NSW Police is one of the many significant factors that has bolstered my strong beliefs in strength born from necessity, determination born from adversity, and friendships formed within a strong and supportive community.

At CrossFit Zelos, it’s about community, it’s about spirit, it’s about helping you to face the hurdles head on and succeed.

My interest in health and fitness commenced in my early teens and over the years, I have taken on a number of different challenges and experimented with various styles of fitness training and nutrition.

CrossFit introduced me to a new way of looking after my health and fitness. The principles behind CrossFit appealed to my desire to train for 'functional movement'. This increased my fitness, strength and being able to mov e 'better' are the key aspects of CrossFit that my training has now adopted

As an accredited Physical Training Instructor with the NSW Police Force, I initiated fitness programs and trained many law enforcement officers over the course of my career.

As a Coach and Co-Owner of CrossFit Zelos, I want to introduce as many people as I can to all of the same benefits that I enjoy from training with CrossFit. I want to see people better their own health and fitness in a safe and fun way, so that they can further enjoy all other aspects of their life as well.

So come down to CrossFit Zelos for a chat, or give me a call and we can work out a way to help you achieve your health and fitness goals too.

Growing up in the Blue Mountains I have always enjoyed bushwalking and bike riding and from a young age developed a love for a variety of competitive sports including swimming, netball and soccer.

Over 7 years ago, I discovered CrossFit and was instantly drawn to the level of variation in each class - the weightlifting, gymnastics, interval training and cardio.  After one class I was hooked and cancelled my gym membership… and haven’t looked back.

In recent years, I have developed a strong interest in nutrition, wanting to know more about what is in our food and where it comes from.  I have a passion for cooking and love finding creative ways to prepare tasty meals using locally sourced and high quality produce.  As a result, I understand the preparation it takes to look after your body pre and post training and fuelling it with good and nutritious food.

After many years of training and being involved in the amazing CrossFit community, I am now excited to be a Coach at CrossFit Zelos.  Our incredible members motivate me and I find it very satisfying assisting them in becoming fitter and stronger, whilst having a great time.

Aside from being a Coach, I work full time in Human Resources with a long commute each day and understand the challenges people face juggling the desire to achieve a healthy work / life balance.

I am here to help motivate members to get excited about their fitness and support them in their journey with balancing training and nutrition whilst still enjoying life.

There’s something quite magical about working with people to help them achieve things they didn’t think possible and supporting them to reach their goals in such a positive environment.

Health, fitness and life balance has always been important to me.  Being a mother of 4, a wife, a business owner, and a personal trainer, I always felt extremely time poor.  After spending many hours in a commercial gym getting nowhere very quickly I was introduced to Crossfit 6 years ago. I quickly learnt that what I could achieve in 3 months in a Crossfit gym would probably take me close to 12 months in a commercial gym. Boom I was in love with Crossfit!

Then came the good stuff, never repetitive programming, always challenging, safe environment, wonderful supportive community and life long friendships.  Not only did I change my style of training, I respected and believed in Crossfit so much that I did my certification so that I could teach it to both adults and children. It has been the best decision I've made. Im not only modelling a healthy lifestyle to my family but Im helping people believe in themselves again. There’s nothing quite like the proud look on a member’s face when they've achieved something they didn’t think they ever could.

For me personally, it’s not about the competitions, climbing a leaderboard ladder or achieving huge numbers in the gym. I love that I can keep up with my kids (even give them a good run for their money), I can move well and lift heavy things at home, safely without any injury, I sleep well, I eat well and I feel great. Everything else is a bonus.

I bring many years of life experience, with weight gain and loss, life balance struggles, dealing with illness/injury, and all the challenging things life can throw at you.

Zelos is a place of real people, all ages and all backgrounds. So proud to be a part of this amazing community.

I have been athletic and involved in sport my entire life. I have played or been involved with soccer in a coaching capacity, for over 30 years. Over the years I have also enjoyed water skiing, dirt bike riding and obstacle course racing.

I started out in Crossfit 4 years ago, as a way of improving my strength and fitness and to compliment my training for soccer and obstacle racing. I soon fell in love with the constant challenges and variety that Crossfit provided. Over the last 4 years I have competed in several Crossfit and Crossfit Masters competitions, individually and as part of several teams. Crossfit challenges me and tests my mind and body.

As a father of 3 children I know the importance of maintaining my health and fitness, in order to keep up with them, enjoy my time with them and to of course set a good example for them. Being a Dad, I am also very aware of how hard it can be sometimes to find the time to train, and therefore the importance of getting the most out of that precious training time.

Currently I spend the majority of my coaching time working with our kids and teens in the Crossfit Kids program, an area I am really passionate about. Getting kids involved in exercise and helping them understand the importance of health and fitness to help them lead strong, happy and healthy lives is very fulfilling. Seeing the improvements and having the opportunity to teach people new skills and movements to add to their everyday life, boosting their confidence, and helping them improve their lives is very rewarding.

I am constantly looking at ways to gain experience and improve my coaching methods so that I can offer everyone that walks through the door, the best experience possible.

I found Crossfit in 2014 and instantly fell in love with everything it stands for. I was unable to remain excited when training in a normal gym environment where I spent 5 or so years training weights aimlessly. My passion for strength then found the sport of powerlifting for a very short time and although I loved the heavy lifting, I felt something was missing from my training. A friend suggested giving CrossFit a go and I haven’t looked back since. I was even lucky enough to meet my fiancé at CrossFit to which we now share our passion of the sport together.

I come from a strong Gymnastics & Acrobatics background (15yrs experience) where I competed both State and Nationally. I then went on to compete at an international level for Equestrian Vaulting (5yrs) – which is more commonly known as Gymnastics on Horseback. I retired from this sport after ticking off one of my life time goals to represent Australia which I did at the World Equestrian Games in France in 2014.

As an athlete with many years of competitive training behind me in various sports, I am very familiar with the ins and outs that can arise in your fitness journey. I am very passionate about nutrition & the benefits of flexible dieting, body composition, heavy lifting and of course Handstands & gymnastics skills. As a relatively new CrossFit coach, I believe my past experience and prior gymnastics coaching will help the members at Crossfit Zelos achieve their goals. Something I have recently learned is how rewarding it is to see the athletes in your class progress and leave the gym smiling. Remember to work hard & dream big.

I am a mother of three with a pure passion for health and fitness.

I had a lengthy background in health and fitness before I discovered CrossFit in 2012.
It was from there I decided to start studying again after having 2 children and I completed my Certificate III and IV in Personal training and my level 1 CrossFit course and started coaching.

In 2014 after a few health scares, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I received overwhelming support from friends, family and the community. After taking some time to recover, I was back to work, doing what I love and have been coaching ever since.

As a coach I believe every person has their own reason for training, their own goals and their own path and I pride myself on being able to coach large groups but still cater to each individual to give them a unique experience. I like to approach each class with the aim of making that one hour the best hour of each member’s day while getting them fitter, stronger and more confident.

I feel incredibly grateful that I get to use my career and personal experience to help others achieve their goals and to just simply feel healthier and happier.
